Aventura-based BH Group paid $10 million for an assisted-living campus near Naples, a 62.7% discount from the property's 2021 sale price.
BH Group and Fort Lauderdale-based Gold Standard of Care, led by Michael Verbitsky, bought the AdviniaCare Naples complex at 7801 Airport Road North, according to the buyers' news release, as first reported by The Real Deal. The 5-acre property has 133 assisted living units and 40 skilled nursing rooms.
Records cited by The Real Deal show the property last sold for $26.8 million in 2021. It sits in unincorporated Collier County.
The seller is an entity tied to Benjamin Berkowitz and Yosef Meystel of Aperion Care, according to public records and reports cited by The Real Deal. Aperion faced multiple citations and fines in 2023 from Illinois state and federal authorities, The Real Deal reported, citing the Forest Park Review. The Real Deal reported that Aperion's media representative didn't immediately return a request for comment.
Third deal in a year
The Naples purchase is the third assisted-living investment in about a year for the partnership between the Toledano and Verbitsky families. BH Group is led by husband-and-wife Isaac and Liat Toledano and was founded in 2009.
It's a fast-growing portfolio.
In November 2025, the pair paid a combined $24.3 million for two South Florida senior living centers, the South Florida Business Journal reported, according to The Real Deal. The properties are a 160-unit center in Boca Raton and a 171-unit facility at 2777 NE 183rd St. in Aventura. Blackstone was the seller, reportedly at a discount.
The Aventura property, formerly Sterling Aventura, sold for $12 million. That was 75% below the $48.9 million Blackstone paid for it in 2017, The Real Deal reported in November 2025.
AHAVA rebrand
Both South Florida properties have been rebranded under the AHAVA Senior Residences name. The Naples facility will follow the same pattern, becoming AHAVA Senior Residences at Naples and AHAVA Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation – Naples.
The buyers retained Ricki Kaneti of Colonial Assisted Living to run the Naples facility, according to the news release. Colonial Assisted Living was also brought in to manage the Aventura and Boca Raton properties.
BH Group and Gold Standard of Care are planning renovations at the Naples campus, though specific details and a timeline have not been disclosed.
