Virginia Landi got her first job at Aventura Mall when she was 16. On Saturday, Sept. 19, she returns as the founder of Butter & Blush Beauty Co. to lead the mall's next "Made At The Market" experience.
The event, called "The Art of Formulation," invites guests to see how Landi builds a skincare formula from raw botanical butters, compare finished textures and make one sensory choice of their own. According to the mall's event listing, the experience is not a make-your-own skincare class but an intimate look at the decisions and refinement behind a finished product.
Landi, who serves as CEO and in-house formulator, launched Butter & Blush at the Aventura Farmers Market in January 2025. In the market's "Meet the Maker" Instagram series in August 2025, she described the personal roots of the brand.
"Butter & Blush Beauty Co. began when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer," Landi said in that post. "I became determined to create something safe for her, starting with deodorant. I researched every ingredient, every label, and realized I never wanted her using anything I had not made myself."
The brand carries 42 products formulated from scratch in Landi's South Florida studio, using naturally derived ingredients sourced from France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan and the United States.
The Sept. 19 event fits into a broader beauty push at Aventura Mall. As the Miami Herald reported July 31, the mall is adding luxury fragrance retailers Parfums De Marly and Initio Parfums in September, with Celine and Bulgari following later in the fall. Jackie Soffer, chairman and CEO of mall owner Turnberry, said in that report that "we are excited about the range of beauty brands and self-care experiences joining Aventura Mall."
