The City of Sunny Isles Beach will bring driver's license renewals, condo association help, and property tax assistance to one location on Thursday, July 30, at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Ave.
The city announced the event, called Constituents' Day, on its official X and Facebook accounts on Friday, July 10. Services listed include driver's license renewal, condominium owners association (COA) questions, Homestead Exemption applications, and property tax savings programs.
The city described the day as a way to bring "essential services right to you … all in one place."
What residents can expect
Constituents' Day puts several government functions that normally require separate trips into a single stop. For the thousands of condo unit owners along Collins Avenue, that means face-to-face help with COA questions and property tax filings without leaving the city.
Miami-Dade County's Homestead Exemption can reduce a primary residence's taxable assessed value by up to $51,411, according to the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser's office. The exemption also activates the Save Our Homes cap, limiting annual assessed-value increases to 3%. Seniors 65 and older with a homestead exemption may qualify for additional income-based savings.
The annual Homestead Exemption application deadline is March 1, but residents who missed it or have eligibility questions can get guidance at the July 30 event.
