Tidal Cove water park in Aventura will transform into a superhero playground this Halloween weekend with a two-day event called Tidalween.

The water park at JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa plans the superhero-themed celebration Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the South Florida Sun-Times. The weekend will feature character meet-and-greets, challenges and interactive activities.

Children arriving at the park will receive a Radioactive Spider Ring. Kids wearing a superhero costume or swimsuit earn an extra radioactive spider ring.

The lineup includes meet-and-greets with Spider-Man, Superman, Wonder Woman and Hulk; Superman's Phone Booth photos; Spidey's Obstacle Course; a villain hunt; an X-ray vision challenge; face painting; Trick or Treat; Mission Blast; and Wonder Woman Power Popcorn.

All superhero activities are included with waterpark admission. Supercharged Kryptonite Ice Cream and a superhero-inspired drink will be available for an additional charge.

Tidal Cove sits at 19999 West Country Club Drive in Aventura. The park features seven water slides, a FlowRider Triple surf simulation pool, a lazy river and a 4,000-square-foot children's play area. Tidal Cove lists waterpark and pool hours as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tidal Cove offers day visitors Resort Day Memberships that include park admission. Prices vary by date and season; check Tidal Cove's website for ticket information.

Tidalween adds another option to the area's Halloween weekend lineup. Town Center Aventura is also hosting trick-or-treating on Oct. 31.
