Aventura City of Excellence School will hold two parent-only open house evenings in September, with the first session set for Thursday, Sept. 17.
The school posted the schedule on its website on Sept. 14. Students should not attend either event, the announcement said.
Thursday, Sept. 17
- 5th grade: 5:30–7 p.m.
- 6th–8th grade: 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24
- Kindergarten–4th grade: 6–7 p.m.
Fifth-grade parents on Sept. 17 will wrap up 30 minutes before the middle-school session ends, even though both start at the same time.
The announcement does not say whether families need to register or which rooms will host the sessions. Parents can call the school at (305) 466-1499. ACES is located at 3333 NE 188 St. Bryan Pegues, the city manager, serves as the school's governing board facilitator.
