Revolve, the online fashion retailer, opened its first Florida store at Aventura Mall on Sept. 29.
The 4,512-square-foot space is Revolve's third brick-and-mortar location, joining its flagship at The Grove in Los Angeles and a boutique in Aspen, Colorado, according to a company press release. The publicly traded company (NYSE: RVLV) targets millennial and Generation Z shoppers through a platform carrying more than 1,600 fashion brands.
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is the store's highest-profile draw. Wade, who retired from basketball in 2019, was recently named chief performance officer of REVOLVE Man and FWRD Man, the company's men's fashion lines. In the role, he serves as an advisor on men's fashion trends and as a face of the brand, the Miami Herald reported.
The three-time NBA champion headlined a public in-store event on Oct. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m., organized in partnership with Li-Ning and Way of Wade. Shoppers could browse Way of Wade footwear and apparel, including the WoW 12 basketball shoe in a Miami-inspired Vice Marble colorway, a Revolve-exclusive Wade County lifestyle sneaker and the first Way of Wade x Revolve apparel capsule. Customers who purchased Way of Wade products had the chance to meet Wade in person.
On Sunday evening, Wade was feted at a dinner at Casadonna in Edgewater celebrating his new role, the Herald reported. The guest list was heavy on star power. Among those attending: Wade's wife, actress Gabrielle Union; basketball player Tim Hardaway Jr.; model Lais Ribeiro; and Miami rapper Trina.
"Miami has long been one of our strongest markets, with a highly engaged customer base and community that we've connected with through activations over the years," Michael Mente, co-founder and co-CEO of Revolve, said in the press release. "Opening at Aventura Mall is a natural next step in our retail expansion strategy, allowing us to meet our customers where they are and deepen those relationships beyond e-commerce."
The store sits on the mall's upper level and carries apparel, footwear, beauty products and home accessories. Featured brands include Revolve's own labels, such as Camila Coelho Collection, Eaves, SRG and L'Academie, along with third-party designers. Dedicated men's and beauty sections round out the inventory.
Revolve did not disclose the investment tied to the store opening or provide financial projections for the location, CityBiz reported.
The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 19565 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 1982, Aventura, FL 33180.
