Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Lenny Tavárez will perform live at Apple Aventura on Wednesday, Sept. 2, giving residents a chance to see the Latin urban star up close during a 45-minute set beginning at 8:15 p.m.
Tavárez, whose charting hits include “Bellaquita” and “Medallo,” will discuss his musical influences and his latest single, “PA’ LO BONITO,” in conversation with Guillermo “Pinky” Mordan, head of Latin music at Platoon, according to Aventura Mall’s event listing. Attendance is free, but guests should reserve a spot through Apple’s event page.
The single marks a departure for Tavárez. Produced by salsa hitmaker Sergio George, “PA’ LO BONITO” trades his signature reggaeton sound for salsa with hints of cumbia. At a Miami press event earlier this year, Tavárez said he originally envisioned the song for Chayanne, with Ricky Martin as a potential collaborator, before deciding to record it himself, Billboard reported.
Tavárez signed with Platoon, Apple’s artist services and distribution company, in February. He said at the time that he believed the partnership would elevate his career, according to Billboard. The Apple Aventura event pairs him with Mordan, Platoon’s head of Latin music.
The artist has accumulated more than 11 billion streams and 16 million followers across social platforms. His songwriting credits extend beyond his own catalog to include Karol G’s “Bichota” and Anitta’s “Envolver,” and he performed at the 2025 MTV VMAs alongside J Balvin, Justin Quiles and DJ Snake.
Mordan, who will moderate the conversation, said when the signing was announced that Tavárez’s addition underscores Platoon’s commitment to expanding its Latin division.
Attendees who arrive early can experience Tavárez’s playlist in Spatial Audio before the performance begins. The event runs until 9 p.m.
