Real American Freestyle (RAF) brings its RAF13 fanfest to the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura on Friday, Sept. 18. Colby Covington, Belal Muhammad and other fighters will appear before the main card that night.
The Miami Herald reported the Turnberry fanfest will take place earlier that Friday, though an exact start time has not been announced. RAF13's main event begins at 8 p.m. at the Watsco Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
Covington, Muhammad Renew Longtime Rivalry
The headliner pits Covington, the RAF Cruiserweight Crossover Championship holder, against Muhammad at 190 pounds. The two former UFC rivals feuded for years but never fought in the Octagon. Muhammad charged at Covington and kicked him at the RAF 11 postfight press conference after a heated exchange, MMAMania reported in July.
Covington, a former All-American wrestler who has lived in South Florida for 16 years, is 4-0 in RAF and 2-0 in Florida.
Co-Main Event Features Former UFC Stars
The co-main event features former UFC fighters Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns. The 11-match card also includes 2024 Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades defending the RAF Women's Middleweight Championship against Diana Avsaragova.
Three-time world champion and Olympic medalist Haji Aliyev faces Jacori Teemer. Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold takes on Joe Pyfer.
Two South Florida Wrestlers Make RAF Debuts
Two competitors carry local ties. Miami native Julian Ramirez, a four-time NCAA qualifier and 2025 Ivy League champion, makes his RAF debut against three-time NCAA champion Jason Nolf for the RAF Middleweight Championship. Mike "Real Tarzann" Holston, a Miami-based wildlife content creator, wrestles his first RAF match against Mugzy.
